University of West London

University of West London prides itself on over 150 years in quality teaching and professional education. It was originally founded in 1860 as The Lady Bryon School before becoming The Thames Valley University in 1992. After numerous mergers with various prestigious Colleges, the University formally changed its name in 2011 to University of West London.  

UWL offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses across its two West London campuses in Ealing and Brentford and its nine highly respected academic schools. Through the Berkshire Institute for Health in Reading students can also study nursing and midwifery programmes in partnership with the NHS.

Over a three-year period, the University has undergone significant redevelopment project to enhance students’ social and learning experiences, including new music studios, the Paul Hamlyn Library, and a refurbished state-of-the art Students’ Union at Ealing campus.

UWL is known as the ‘Career University’ due to its impressive graduate employment rate, career-focused courses, and close industry connections. Studying there is about gaining the skills, expertise, and insight students need to excel in their chosen careers.
