If your initial application was successful, you will be invited to an interview. Prior to the interview date, you will need to complete an online Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ). The OPQ assess your work preferences and behaviour.
The interview itself with consist of 4 components:
- a written exercise – this will be provided on the day so you will not be able to prepare for it. It should take around an hour to complete.
- a 40-60 minute interview with two partners – after the written exercise, you will be given a short current affairs to read for 15 minutes. The interviewers will discuss the main points of the article, and will ask you questions relating to your CV. It is designed to learn more about you and assess your suitability for the scheme.
- a chat and tour of the office with a current trainee – this is a perfect opportunity for you to ask questions and learn more about life at Slaughter and May.
- a short HR interview – a short chat with a member of the Trainee Recruitment Team, its purpose is to allow you to ask questions relating to practical matters.
You should receive a response, regarding the outcome of your application, within 7-10 days of your interview.
