If you are applying for a training contract, you will need to complete a work simulation exercise (an ‘e-tray test’). This ‘e-Tray’ test takes the form of a computer-based simulation of an email inbox. You will be required to respond to a series of emails using multiple-choice questions, extract information from data provided and make difficult decisions. The scenario is entirely fictitious.
After the exercise, you will need to prepare a written response to one email. This will be based on an issue you have been dealing with throughout the work simulation.
If you are applying for a vacation scheme, you will only need to review the data and information provided as part of the work simulation exercise and prepare a written response to one email. You will not need to participate in the inbox exercise.
