TheRoyal Air Force verbal reasoning test is a part of the RAF Defence Aptitude Assessments or the CBATs. This part of your RAF assessment process aims to test your ability to understand, interpret, and use written information to answer questions.

The RAF verbal reasoning test is made up of four sections:
Section 1:
Involves questions that assess your reading comprehension. You are given short paragraphs and assessed on your ability to interpret the information provided and your understanding of the main idea of the text.
Section 2:
Evaluates your critical reasoning by your evaluation of the argument presented to you. This section aims to see if you can support your argument with the information provided in the text.
Section 3:
This section aims to test your ability to form inferences and deductions. You will be given some data in the form of tables, and you must deduce information from the given tables to come to a logical conclusion.
Section 4:
Assesses your vocabulary and understanding of word analogies. This section puts you through questions that measure your understanding of synonyms, antonyms, and word analogies.

This test assesses your verbal reasoning ability using information provided in passages of text. Read the passage of text and look at each question, which is provided as a statement, to determine whether:
