Key Tips

  • Competency-Based Interviews require preparation. Primarily you will want to know which competencies are being assessed for the role you are applying for. Once identified, you can start creating answers to the questions.
  • Our CBI Question Identifier Tool (QIT) assessment will help you to identify which competencies are likely to be assessed and provide you with the types of questions likely to come up along with answers to teach you what a good response looks like.

Identify your upcoming Interview’ questions

Using the science of assessment today and the skill of our consultants, Graduates First has developed a Question-Identifier’ Tool (QIT) which provides you with the questions that are likely to come up in an interview you are about to have. The QIT requires the user to take a short questionnaire which takes approximately 5 minutes to complete.

The tool weighs up various competencies in terms of their relevance to the job identifying those that are most likely to be linked to job performance. Once established, our system will provide you with sample questions for the competencies that may be asked, along with sample answers which cover the ‘STAR’ and ‘CAR’ model as described in the “Interviews” section of this site.

Simply complete the short tool and we will not only provide you with the types of questions that are likely to come up, but examples of model answers, some which may apply to you and can therefore be used in your interview.

You will need to have a fair understanding of the type of job you are applying for. To get the most reliable results, read any job descriptions or role information you may have before you complete the questionnaire.
