Stage 2

Situational Judgement Questionnaire

A test designed to see how you would react to different scenarios, and whether your responses align with BP’s Values & Behaviours. You will be presented with different hypothetical situations that you could encounter as a BP employee and you must choose how you would respond to them. The test should give you a good idea of what it is like working as a BP intern or graduate.

Stage 3

Numerical and Verbal Test

At this stage, you will need to complete a couple of short online tests: a numerical test and a verbal test.

Stage 4

Telephone Interview

A standard telephone interview, geared toward your physical attributes and experiences.

Stage 5

Technical Interview

A scenario-based face-to-face interview with one of BP’S technical experts, designed to assess your technical skills. If you are applying for Trading and IT&S, you will also need to complete an additional technical assessment as part of this stage.

Stage 6

Assessment Centre

Lasting around 12 hours, the final stage of the recruitment process requires you to participate in a variety of individual and group-based scenarios. All scenarios relate to the type of work done at BP.

You will receive a response, regarding the outcome of your application, shortly after this stage.
