Two levels of tests exist in terms of the audience they are aimed at:General AbilityGraduate and ManagerialThe General Ability tests are aimed at the supervisory (non-graduate/managerial) level of role. The Graduate and Managerial tests are aimed at university leavers and professionals in managerial posts or those joining training programs post-university.Time Limits and Questions General Ability – Verbal Reasoning Tests 18 minutes time limit, 24 questions in the test General Ability – Numerical Reasoning Tests 20 minutes time limit, 24 questions in the test Graduate and Managerial – Verbal Reasoning Tests 25 minutes time limit, 48 questions in the test Graduate and Managerial – Numerical Reasoning Tests 35 minutes time limit, 32 questions in the test Numerical Reasoning TestThe numerical reasoning test requires candidates to answer questions which require numerical reasoning using information provided in tables and charts. You are given 5 options to choose from; only 1 of the options is correct. The level of mathematics required is very basic and involves simple arithmetic.It is advised that candidates practise as much as possible in order to do well. Verbal Reasoning TestThe verbal reasoning tests require candidates to answer questions which require verbal reasoning using information contained in passages of text. You are given 3 options to choose from; ‘True’, ‘False’ or ‘Cannot Say’ which is determined based upon the information contained in the passage. Only 1 of the options is correct. Those with English as their first language may have an advantage over others; however the low cut-offs or requirement criteria to pass will ensure that no one is disadvantaged.
